Welcome
Enjoy browsing the site - I am new to the art of being a silversmith having started my learning with a summer-school course at the Central Scotland School of Jewellery. I was hooked and am at my happiest gliding between the bench, pickle-pot and tumbler. My hallmark stamp is registered at the assay office in Edinburgh, and I'm also registered with the Argentium Guild.
My pieces tend to be one-off expressions, inspired by the liminal spaces of Scotland, places I have travelled to and mythology. I love to embrace mistakes, relish the unusual, and will be looking to expand my portfolio with pewter work and other metals. I love to recycle metal where I can, and I'm working with a local kilt maker to bring tartan into pieces too, reusing their scrap material.
I like to cater for all budgets and will include retail pieces selected from a wholesaler. These are stamped .925, but not hallmarked like my own pieces - you'll see the designer cleary marked as a different name to my own.
